MOBILE URGENT CARE SERVICES LAUNCHED SEPTEMBER 6, 2024: Staged Release

Due to the recent launch of our mobile urgent care service, we are staging  the release of new services to allow us time to establish the flow, allow for training of staff, and address any challenges and changes that need to be made. Consults with diagnostics and treatments are currently available. Procedures requiring sedation, anesthesia, or surgery and the medical transport service will be released in the near future.

KLC Veterinary Services: Mobile urgent Care

When should you Head to the ER:

As much as we love to help your pet feel better, there are times when the scope of diagnostics or treatments needed will exceed our capabilities.

  • Life threatening emergencies.
  • Cases needing hospitalization or major surgery such as severe abdominal pain, major toxicities, GDVs (bloat), severe bloody diarrhea, foreign body obstruction, urethral obstruction, systemic infection, and diabetic ketoacidosis.
  • Cases needing radiographs, in depth ultrasound by an ultrasonographer, advanced imaging, or extensive on-site diagnostics or specialists.

Some times it may be difficult to know when your pet needs care at an ER. We are always happy to triage and consult and will always notify you if your pet would benefit from a visit to the ER or if it is not an appropriate  for us to respond to your particular case.

When Should You Call Your Daytime Vet:

We love to see you and your pet, but we do not carry certain items on our vehicle and want you to continue the relationship with your daytime veterinarian for your pet's routine needs

  • Routine preventative care
  • Routine surgeries such as spay and neuter, COHATs (dentals)
  • Vaccines
  • Travel certificates
  • Microchips
  • Flea/tick prevention
  • Ear infections
  • Long term management of chronic diseases
  • Discussions about allergies, nutrition, or behavior
  • Nail trims

There are times when you are unable to have your pet seen by your daytime vet for a non-urgent condition such as ear infections that we may be able to respond to  during slower times. You are always welcome to call  for wait times.

Fees

We charge a flat fee of $250 + tax for the urgent care consult with call fee for visits within our service area. This fee is due prior to arrival once you receive a time of arrival for the team and are provided a pay link. You will receive an estimate for any recommended diagnostics or treatments after your consult.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy

We also offer mobile therapy laser treatments. Laser is a non-invasive, drug and surgery free option used to treat a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions to reduce pain and inflammation and promote healing. Each treatment plan is tailored to the condition and multiple sessions are often needed for the most benefit, but each session lasts less than 10 minutes.
